Okay, broskis, I made a vague post about this earlier, but I am here to clarify! For my SPED 3010 class (Teaching Diverse Learners), I have to interview either a teacher, a parent, or a student who has had to deal with a disability in their school lives - more importantly, someone who has had an IEP. Now, I could do a special education teacher (I know a few that would probably help me), I would rather interview someone who has actually dealt with being a student with an IEP during their school years.

Here are the details:

  • There would be a biography - background information, schooling information; can stay anonymous.
  • 10 core questions that I’d ask, plus a few follow up questions
  • Then I would write a reflection on how I would use this information from a teaching standpoint.

If I do interview a student or someone who used to be a student (K-12), it would need to be someone who actually has/had an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

If you would be willing to do something like this, please drop a message in my ask box. I would really appreciate being able to interview someone who’s dealt with having a disability directly. It will remain anonymous, as I mentioned earlier. If not, it would mean a lot to me if you would reblog this. The interview itself is due next week, so I hope to be hearing from someone this week. :D
