I’ve been sitting on this all day because I want to respond with something resembling grace instead of the usual mess I spew, so here goes!

If you have access to a doctor, you could consider making an appointment or bringing it up the next check up. Sometimes it has to do with low estrogen levels and I think they can prescribe a cream for it? And the topical cream doesn’t affect the body the same way the oral estrogen tablet does, so I believe there’s less of a risk of the testosterone levels dropping. I’m not a doctor though! so feel free to ignore all of that.

First things first - you only have to do, sexually,what you, personally, are comfortable with. Sometimes, I think, people get really caught up in the idea that you shouldn’t feel ashamed or embarrassed about sex that starts this vicious self-shaming cycle wherein you shame yourself for feeling ashamed about sex. That cycle sucks. We don’t like that cycle, but it can be a really hard habit to break.

I think that it is really incredibly important that you know your genitalia works and that you know how to get yourself off before you start a sexual encounter with another person. Whether this means manually stimulating yourself or sex toys, whatever - you should know what works for you so that you know and so that you can tell your future partners (I refuse to believe that people are actually so intuitive upon the first encounter that they just automatically know what their partner likes).

As for the lube, the only thing that I can offer is that you try it out the next time masturbate. Personally, I only use lube if what I’m doing involves penetration (whether it be a sex toy or penetration with another person). Get a nice lube that you’re not allergic to (if that could be a concern) and test drive it. What do you think it is that freaks you out about lube? I generally just think about it as an aid. Introduce lube to your life and work up to being comfortable with it. (I think lube is really great and everyone should be as excited about lube as I am, ahaha.) Lube also comes in handy when you’re getting someone with a penis off? Like, I find lube to be much more preferable than spitting in your hand during a handjob. I’m not particularly into spit, though (there’s a funny story in there somewhere, but nope).

Also, if the person you’re having sex with gives you shit about using lube during sex, drop them and move on because they’re not worth it, period. Don’t be afraid to have an open dialogue with your partner about likes and dislikes. If you can’t have an open dialogue - well, that pretty much raises every single red flag in my head.

TL;DR Lube is awesome and I hope you can foster an appreciation for lube because it makes everything easier.

Hahahaha yes. Of course. Porn can be awesome, okay. Everyone should watch porn, especially when it’s the stuff where the people have good connections and everyone’s having a good time. I’m not even into sex, like, at all, but when people are happy and into what they’re doing, it’s really cool.

I mean, come on. You have to at least be a little attracted to the person you’re going to fall in love with. But I think, above all that, if the person doesn’t have a good personality, it doesn’t matter how attractive they are. They could be the most attractive person in the world and if they had a shit personality, I couldn’t. I like the people who are broken around the edges, who have stories to tell, because I’m a little broken around the edges too. And anyway, I’m not looking for a sexual relationship, so at the end of the day it comes down to who I’m most compatible with on a personality level, because I couldn’t spend the rest of my life with someone who I didn’t absolutely click with.
